Andrew Peace Wines is one of Australia’s largest family-owned wineries, with large-scale vineyard and winery operations based in Piangil, North West Victoria.

We are seeking an experienced Vintage Winemaker to manage night-shift winemaking and production operations for the upcoming vintage.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced commercial winemaker who can lead by example, solve problems on the floor and confidently manage people and production in a quick-paced vintage environment.

About the Role

Working closely with the Head Winemaker, Senior Winemaker and broader winemaking team, you will:
Manage night-shift winemaking and production operations
Oversee grape receival, crushing, processing and fermentations
Coordinate additions, transfers, blending and tank movements
Manage workflow, tank capacity and production priorities
Lead and work alongside cellar and vintage staff
Troubleshoot winemaking, production and equipment issues
Maintain quality, safety, records and effective shift handovers





About You

You will ideally have:
A qualification in Oenology, Winemaking or equivalent
Solid large-scale commercial winery experience
Previous experience leading a vintage, shift or major vintage operations
Strong technical and practical winemaking knowledge
Proven leadership and people-management skills
A hands-on, lead-by-example approach
Solid problem-solving skills and confidence making decisions under pressure

Experience with Vintrace, a forklift licence and relevant winery safety tickets will be highly regarded.

The Contract
Fixed-term contract, approximately February to April
Primarily night shift, including weekends and public holidays as required
Accommodation provided
Applicants must have their own reliable vehicle
