Pay: AU$79,000.00 – AU$96,000.00 per year

Job description:

Location: Adelaide SA, Australia

Salary: AUD $75,000 – $96,000 per annum (plus superannuation)

ABOUT THE ROLE
Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine materials required and work methods.
Measure, mark out, cut, and shape timber and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials, including framing, flooring, and formwork.
Fit and install components such as doors, windows, stairs, moulding, and hardware.
Collaborate with other tradespeople and construction professionals on residential and commercial projects.
Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, the National Construction Code (NCC), and relevant state/territory work health and safety regulations.
Inspect and assess existing structures, identify defects, and carry out repair and maintenance works.
Prepare detailed work estimates and maintain records of materials and labour.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience working as a qualified Carpenter.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.




Proficiency with a full range of carpentry hand tools and power tools.
Robust knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, and work health and safety requirements.
Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple concurrent projects.
Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Valid driver's licence (preferred).

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220) or equivalent recognised qualification – required.
Completion of a recognised Australian apprenticeship in Carpentry, or an overseas equivalent assessed by the relevant authority, is highly regarded.
Current White Card (Construction Induction Training – CPCCWHS1001) is required.
State/territory construction licence or registration as required by local regulations.
Skills assessment from the relevant assessing body may be required for visa purposes.
Evidence of continuing career development in carpentry techniques and building standards is advantageous.
