About the role

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and customer-focused Service Writer to join our Ducati workshop in South Melbourne. This is an exciting prospect for someone who understands motorcycles, enjoys dealing with customers and technicians, and wants to be part of a high-performance dealership workplace.

Key responsibilities
Taking customer bookings and understanding their service and repair requirements.
Preparing and managing repair orders, quotes and estimates.
Liaising closely with technicians to understand repair requirements and communicate customer concerns.
Scheduling workshop jobs and helping manage daily workshop workflow.
Keeping customers informed of progress, additional work, costs and completion times.
Obtaining customer approval for additional repairs and maintenance.
Preparing invoices and ensuring repair orders are accurately completed and closed.
Conducting vehicle handovers and explaining completed work to customers.
Managing warranty and manufacturer-related service requirements where required.

About you




Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, Workshop Controller or Parts Interpreter, preferably within the motorcycle or automotive industry.
Genuine passion for motorcycles.
Highly organised and able to manage multiple jobs and priorities.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Confident communicating with customers, technicians and suppliers.
Skilled and positive attitude.
Takes ownership of customer issues and follows them through to completion.
Works well in a team and contributes positively to the dealership culture.
