Role Objective
An established occupational rehabilitation provider is seeking a qualified Quality Manager to lead its quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives. This position combines regulatory compliance, milestone auditing, and risk management with staff mentoring, university partnership oversight, and business development support.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Oversee regular auditing and monitoring of service delivery to ensure adherence to legislative frameworks and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Conduct milestone file reviews and quality checks on technical reports, assessments, and correspondence.
Lead continuous improvement projects based on audit findings and data analytics.
Manage customer feedback and formal complaint resolution processes end-to-end while supporting regulatory inspections.
Staff Mentorship & Talent Development
Deliver onboarding and induction programs for current workplace rehabilitation consultants.
Collaborate with operational leaders to mentor staff and elevate clinical and reporting capabilities across the team.
Design and execute internal training initiatives while overseeing university partnerships and student placement programs.
Reporting & Business Development
Utilize data tools to analyze audit metrics,
compliance performance, and operational trends.
Support leadership with technical inputs for tenders, formal quotations, and Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation.
Cultivate positive working relationships with insurers, employers, medical practitioners, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory Requirements
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Exercise Physiology, Registered Nursing, or Chiropractic.
Qualified Registration: Active registration with AHPRA or ESSA.
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of direct experience in injury management, occupational rehabilitation, and complex claims handling.
Technical & Professional Skills
Thorough understanding of state workers' compensation legislation, return-to-work principles, and workplace injury management guidelines.
Proficient in business reporting tools, including advanced Excel, database systems, and analytics platforms (Power BI or SQL).
Robust leadership, conflict resolution, negotiation, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure while driving quality and compliance metrics.
