If you love surgery and want greater involvement in complex cases and patient care, this could be your next step. Western Australian Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (WAVES) has a vacancy available for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join its Surgery Department in Success.
The role offers exposure to procedures including TPLOs, hip replacements, spinal decompressions and fracture repairs, with involvement from patient preparation and anaesthesia through to recovery, hospitalisation and discharge.

The ideal candidate:
The ideal candidate will have:
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
At least 3 years of veterinary nursing experience (previous referral experience would be ideal but is not essential)
A robust interest in surgery and anaesthesia
A commitment to excellent patient care
A desire to learn and develop in a specialist workplace
This is a 38-hour permanent full time position. The weekend commitment is approximately once every 4–6 weeks, comprising a four-hour Saturday morning shift followed by daytime-only on-call for the remainder of Saturday and Sunday.
