Role Description The Rock Breaker Technician is a full time workshop role based in Malaga, WA with site trips when required. This position is responsible for assembling, installing, servicing, and repairing Montabert rockbreakers and related equipment, both in the workshop and at customer locations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting diagnostics and fault-finding, performing scheduled maintenance, replacing components,



and testing equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

The technician will prepare service reports, maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used, and support the spare parts team with technical insights. The role also involves liaising with customers and colleagues to provide technical advice, uphold quality standards, and ensure minimal downtime for client operations.

Qualifications
Demonstrated experience working with hydraulic rockbreakers, heavy equipment, or mining and construction machinery, including diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
Robust mechanical and hydraulic aptitude.
Proficiency in using workshop tools, testing equipment, and safety gear, with a solid understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
Effective communication and customer service skills, including explicit documentation of service work and skilled interaction with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an in office workshop environment, with good time management and problem-solving skills.
Current valid manual driver’s license; a forklift or high-risk work license is an advantage.
