About the Company

Pablito’s Mexican is a shining current addition to the Gold Coast’s Mexican scene. We are specialised in Mexican cuisine to enrich your taste buds with the authentic flavours of Mexico.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join the team! You will work closely with our Head Chef and culinary team to create memorable dishes and ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation are consistently maintained. This position is a full-time ongoing position based in Hope Island, QLD.

Main tasks
Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and execute seasonal menus, incorporating innovative and creative ideas.
Assist in the daily operation of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet our exacting standards.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring they follow best practices and maintain a high level of productivity.




Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain kitchen equipment.
Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen workplace, following all health and safety regulations.
Monitor food costs and assist in controlling expenses.

Qualifications and Experience
A minimum of a Diploma or equivalent qualification, and
At least 1 year of relevant full-time work experience in the industry within the past 5 years.

Skills and Attributes
Strong culinary creativity and a passion for food.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a quick-paced environment.

Annual salary will be between $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
