About the Role

ADENCO is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to lead the pricing of complex civil construction and mining infrastructure projects across our operations. Using first-principles estimation and industry-leading software, you'll take ownership of tender strategy from prospect through to submission — reviewing project plans, attending site visits, and building robust, auditable cost models in collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

This is a senior, client-facing role with genuine leadership scope: you'll mentor and provide quality oversight to our Estimators and Junior Estimators, act as a key escalation point across the estimating function, and help shape how ADENCO prices and wins work going forward.

Key Responsibilities
Own timely completion of tenders and project budget submissions, including large-scale and strategically significant works
Lead technical support to the operations team across multiple concurrent projects
Manage the tender estimate system, ensuring models are robust, auditable, and consistently applied
Lead and participate in tender site visits, including client-facing presentations
Review and quality-check estimates prepared by Estimators and Junior Estimators




Lead preparation and review of Contract Variations
Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, builders, and suppliers
Provide structured leadership, coaching, and development to the estimating team
Contribute to estimating strategy, pricing benchmarks, and continuous improvement of processes and tools

About You — Essential
Accredited qualification in Civil Engineering
8+ years' experience executing Civil Construction and Mining scopes of work (pipelines experience preferred), including experience delivering work as a contractor
Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring an estimating function or team, including review and sign-off of others' estimates
Demonstrated track record securing and delivering large-scale or complex civil/mining tenders
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Robust business acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management ability
Solid leadership, supervision, and team management skills

About You — Desirable
Corporate membership with an Australian Engineering Peak Body (e.g. AusIMM, Engineers Australia)
Advanced working knowledge of Candy (RIB CCS)
