A newly created role for a Senior Accountant/Finance Manager to join a successful ASX listed business with long tenure in the business

Reporting directly to an approachable Financial Controller, you will join the team and play a key role across the broader financial accounting function.

n

The position offers a genuine mix of financial accounting, reporting, tax and commercial exposure.

n

Responsibilities include:

n

Managing month-end and year-end financial accounting processes
n
Preparing management reports and financial analysis
n
Completing balance sheet reconciliations
n
Supporting budgeting and forecasting
n
Assisting with Australian tax compliance and reporting obligations
n
Supporting external tax advisors and tax lodgements
n
Assisting with listed-company reporting requirements
n
Supporting finance projects and process improvement initiatives
n
Identifying opportunities to improve systems, controls and processes
n
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business
n
Providing support to the Financial Controller on various projects and analysis
n

There is an element of tax compliance, however this isn't a dedicated tax position. The role will suit someone who enjoys a broad financial accounting remit with exposure across tax and other areas of finance.

About You

n

You will be an experienced Senior Accountant/Finance Manager who enjoys taking ownership and working across a varied remit.

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
CA/CPA qualification or be working towards completion
n
Robust financial accounting and month-end experience
n
Experience with management reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
n
Exposure to budgeting and forecasting
n
Experience with Australian tax compliance
n
Robust attention to detail and analytical skills
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
A proactive approach and willingness to get involved
n
An interest in process improvement and finance transformation
n
Experience in construction or other project-based workplace would be advantageous.
