The Role :

n

The work is defendant side personal injury and liability litigation for insurers and their insureds, in the Melbourne general insurance team.

n

You'll work directly with a partner and special counsel and be given your own files early, which means drafting pleadings and advices, briefing counsel, court appearances, and dealing with insurers, experts and the other side yourself.

n

Full training on the insurance side is given, so litigation experience matters more than where you've done it.

n

You'll need:

n

n
Admission in Australia and around 2 years Plus experience as a lawyer
n
Insurance litigation, personal injury or general litigation experience.
n
Defendant side preferred but not essential
n
Comfortable using iManage or similar and recording time
n
Wanting to run files rather than support them
