Full time dairy farm hand

Rural town of Smithton, TAS. Milking 900 cows, twice a day -one worker required, ongoing full time position for the right applicant.

Position Description
38 hrs/week commencing at pastoral award Level 1 $25.74 per hour
Milkings at 4am and 2pm
Milking twice a day
45 bail rotary

Work commencement

October 2026

Key Responsibilities
Milking cows efficiently and hygienically (AM and PM milkings)
Identifying and reporting animal health issues
Cleaning and maintaining milking equipment and the dairy shed
Potential assistance with herd movements and general farm tasks as needed

About You
Previous experience with dairy milking is preferred but not essential — training can be provided for the right person
Solid work ethic and a positive level of physical fitness
Comfortable working early mornings, weekends, and in all weather conditions
Reliable and punctual
