About the Role

We are currently looking for a Laboratory Assistant on a casual basis to join our team at our brand-new Perth facility, located in Canning Vale. This modern laboratory and office space offers the latest technology, on-site parking, and contemporary amenities designed for comfort and efficiency.

This is an entry-level position with flexible hours from Monday to Friday, ideally between 8 am and 7 pm (minimum 30 hours per week availability is preferred).

The role is physically active and hands-on, involving moderate lifting and manual handling. It’s a great chance for someone looking to start or grow their career in laboratory work within a supportive and safety-focused setting.

Responsibilities





Operate laboratory machinery, including the LM2 Pulverising Mill and Jaw Crusher

Crush and pulverise rock and concrete samples for analysis

Perform sample sorting, weighing, and splitting

Carry out initial pH measurements

Support general lab prep activities as required

Maintain warehouse cleanliness and manage waste disposal

Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and PPE requirements

Skills and Experiences:

About You The ideal candidate will possess:

Interest in science and laboratory work

Reliable, hardworking, and punctual

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace

Proactive attitude and strong attention to detail A team player with good communication skills

BSc or Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques is advantageous but not required
