Payroll Officer - Heathwood

Our client, based in Heathwood, is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid end-to-end payroll experience who is confident working across payroll compliance, employee entitlements and reporting.

Duties include but not limited to:
Manage end-to-end payroll processing
Process wages, salaries, allowances, deductions, leave and entitlements
Maintain payroll records, including current starters and terminations
Manage superannuation processing and reporting
Ensure compliance with relevant awards and legislation
Interpret employment conditions and employee entitlements
Complete payroll reconciliations and reporting
Assist with payroll tax and statutory reporting
Respond to employee payroll queries
Work closely with HR, Finance and operational teams
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy across payroll information




Identify opportunities to improve payroll systems and processes

To be considered for the role, you will have:
Previous experience in an end-to-end payroll position
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards and employee entitlements
Experience processing wages, salaries, allowances, deductions, leave and superannuation
Experience with payroll reconciliations, payroll tax and statutory reporting
Confidence interpreting awards and employment conditions
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong communication skills and confidence handling payroll queries
Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Experience using payroll systems and Microsoft Office
