Hours: Approximately 38 hours per week

Little Rokeby Cafe is a busy and established café located in the heart of Subiaco, Perth. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team on a full time basis.

About the Role

As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast, lunch and café-style dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and food safety.

Key responsibilities include:
Preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of café-style dishes.
Preparing ingredients, sauces, stocks and other food components.
Following recipes and maintaining consistent food quality and presentation.
Monitoring food preparation and cooking processes to ensure timely service.
Assisting with menu planning and developing current and seasonal dishes.
Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and receiving supplies.
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene,



cleanliness and workplace safety.
Ensuring food is stored, prepared and handled in accordance with food safety requirements.
Working effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff during busy service periods.
Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and work areas.

About You The successful candidate will have:
Relevant commercial cookery qualifications and/or relevant industry experience.
Previous experience working as a Chef in a café, restaurant or similar commercial kitchen.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen.
Valuable communication and teamwork skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
Availability to work a versatile roster, including weekends where required.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
