Ellis Butchers' is seeking a qualified Butcher to join our retail shop in Westfield Marion, South Australia. As a fulltime Butcher, you will be responsible for all aspects of butchering and retail operations, from meat preparation and packaging to assisting customers and managing inventory. This is an exciting prospect to work for a well-established, family-owned butcher shop and contribute to the continued success of our business.

What you'll be doing
Cutting, preparing and packaging a variety of meats to customer specifications
Assisting customers with product selection and providing advice on cooking methods and meal ideas
Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the butchery
Monitoring stock levels
Contributing to the overall smooth running and efficiency of the retail shop

What we're looking for
A minimum of 2 years' experience as a qualified Butcher, preferably in a retail or wholesale setting




Certificate III in Meat Processing or equivalent recognised butchery qualification
Thorough knowledge of various meat cuts, preparation techniques and food safety regulations
Robust customer service skills and the ability to provide expert advice to customers
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other staff members
A passion for the butchery trade and a desire to contribute to the growth and success of the business
