The successful candidate will be responsible for MIG welding and general workshop duties, including:
Operating manufacturing and processing machinery
MIG welding mild steel components
Tack welding and welding components to required specifications
Reading and interpreting welding instructions and production requirements
Preparing metal surfaces, including de-burring, grinding and cleaning prior to welding
Using hand tools, power tools and general workshop equipment
Performing manual handling duties
Operating a forklift where appropriately licensed
Maintaining a clean, protected and organised work area
Following all safety, quality and operating procedures
Maintaining high production and housekeeping standards
We are looking for someone who demonstrates:




Previous experience in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment
MIG welding experience
A strong safety awareness and commitment to secure work practices
Reliability and a robust work ethic
A reliable and consistent work history
Good communication skills
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Pride in producing quality workmanship
Good attention to detail
The legal right to work in Australia
