Turner Freeman Lawyers is a national law firm specialising in plaintiff personal injury litigation.
We have an exciting prospect available in our Canberra office for a part-time Paralegal. This role will be supporting the team in the area of Personal Injury with a focus primarily on Institutional Abuse matters.
The ideal candidate will currently be in their third or fourth year of their law degree and ideally have previous experience working as either a legal assistant or paralegal in personal injury. The role will require you to work a minimum of 3 to 4 days per week.
Excellent mentoring, training and support is provided, together with the prospect to progress at the conclusion of your degree.
ABOUT THE JOB
· Drafting and collating legal documents;
· Drafting legal correspondence;
· Preparing chronologies and summaries;
· Preparation of statements;
· Liaising with clients,
medical and legal professionals and other government bodies;
· File and document management;
· General administrative tasks.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
· You must be in your third or fourth year of your law degree;
· A bright and enthusiastic law student who has a passion for helping people;
· Previous experience in personal injury is essential;
· Strong written and verbal communication skills;
· Excellent attention to detail;
· A hard working, focused attitude.
