Role Overview

Join us in office at The Twin Rivers Centre for an 18-week Conservation & Ecosystem Management traineeship! This hands-on role runs 30 hours per week, from Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM. You'll gain valuable experience in the construction industry while working on real projects under quality supervision, giving you the tools and confidence to pursue a future in the trades.

Requirements





This traineeship is designed specifically for women who are ready to develop hands-on skills in Conservation & Ecosystem Management and take the first step into a trade career, including:
Comfortable working outdoors, including in hot conditions.
Actively contribute to a strong Workplace Health & Safety culture by sharing ideas and improvements; we’re all in this together.
Foster a positive work setting built on communication, honesty, trust, and integrity. Teamwork makes the dream work.
Collaborate in a team setting to complete construction projects under quality supervision.

Selection Criteria To be eligible for this traineeship, applicants must:
Not be currently employed.
Not be currently studying.
Have had no previous participation in a Skilling Queenslanders for Work project.
Be open to job search support, as we are committed to helping you find employment after completing the traineeship.

Remuneration

Traineeship wages apply, with hourly rates ranging from $10.86 to $22.05, depending on the number of years since you left school. These rates are lower as funding covers the cost of your training and certification.
