About the role

At Sunnyside House, we are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Cook to join our team to provide nutritious, delicious, and heartwarming meals for our residents. We are a small community minded not-for-profit organisation. Our Residential Aged Care facility is dedicated to providing outstanding care to everyone who lives with us. The size of our home allows us to ensure personal and genuine, quality care.

Key responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious and appetizing meals, tailored to the dietary needs of our elderly residents
Ensure food is served in a timely, hygienic, and attractive manner
Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen
Collaborate with the care team to accommodate residents' individual preferences and dietary restrictions
Foster a warm and welcoming setting through the power of food

About you




Cert III or Cert IV in Commercial Cookery, preferably in aged care or large-scale food preparation
Full working rights is essential.
Knowledge of food safety standards and dietary requirements for elderly residents is preferred (IDDSI)
Understanding of the Aged Care Standards is beneficial
A kind, patient, and understanding approach to working with older adults
Robust communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
