Key responsibilities:
Assist with the installation, dismantling, climbing, servicing and maintenance of tower cranes.
Rig, sling, lift and position tower crane components during erection and dismantling.
Assemble and disassemble mast sections, jibs, counter-jibs, counterweights, crane ties and other crane components.
Assist with commissioning, testing and adjustment of tower cranes following installation, climbing, servicing or repairs.
Inspect crane components and identify and report damage, wear, faults or defects.
Inspect and safely use slings, shackles, chains and other rigging and lifting equipment.
Assist with loading and unloading tower crane components and equipment.
Work safely at heights using appropriate fall-arrest and access systems.
Guide loads and communicate with crane operators and other crew using radios and hand signals.




Work closely with crane operators, riggers, technicians and site personnel to safely complete crane operations.

Licenses, competencies & skills required:
Current Driver’s Licence
High Risk Work Licence – Dogman (DG), Intermediate Rigging Licence (RB), Working at heights
Understanding of cranes and/or similar equipment
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently
Strong leadership and decision making skills

Preferred but Not Essential
Previous experience in a similar role or within the industry, training will be provided to the right candidate
