Central Diesel Services (CDS) is a locally owned, Alice Springs based heavy diesel and plant repair business at 22 Cameron Street. We work across heavy vehicle and equipment servicing, driveline repair, fluid power (hydraulics & pneumatics), and fixed or mobile plant repairs and maintenance.

A genuine mix of makes, models and problems, not one fleet on repeat.

About the role We're flat out and need an experienced, ticketed Heavy Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic to join our crew. Hands-on work covering diagnosis, repair and servicing of heavy vehicles and plant/mobile equipment.

What you'll bring
Trade qualification or minimum 3rd year in trade apprenticeship (Heavy Diesel Fitter / Plant Mechanic) — essential. This role is for an already or nearly qualified tradesperson.




Solid diagnostic and fault-finding skills across heavy diesel engines, driveline and hydraulics
Own tools
Reliable, works well in a small, tight-knit crew
Current driver's license (relevant heavy vehicle license highly regarded)
