Coogee Bay Hotel, located opposite Coogee Beach in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, is so much more than just a hotel. This multi-award-winning venue is superbly located across from Coogee Beach and has everything under the one roof.

We are seeking an experienced Receptionist to be responsible for ensuring the productive and effective operation of the Front Office and for providing guests with a high level of customer service at all times.

Key areas of responsibility include:
Administrative duties – including reservations, responding to emails, accounts & cash handling
Answer and redirect phone calls in a timely and skilled manner
Develop and maintain relations with current and prospective recent clients, to encourage repeat business and generate new business
Ensure Hotel guests are attended to in a timely and efficient manner
Action all Guest check-in and checkouts
Respond to reservation emails
Take and respond to phone reservations
Have a good knowledge of current packages, room rates and room configurations




Ensure presentation and maintenance of all areas of accommodation areas is maintained to a high standard at all times
Ensure all incidents involving property damage, accidents and injuries staff or guests are reported to manager

Our ideal candidate will have experience with CMS hospitality front office program along with exceptional customer service and presentation skills with a good understanding of the hospitality industry.

Other essential attributes to be successful in this role:
Previous experience in similar role
Ability to work 4 – 5 shifts a week, including weekends
Experience with CMS Front Office system an advantage
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a busy customer environment
Flexibility and reliability
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
