Senior Buyer – Residential Developments – £50k – £55k plus package

My client who is a residential developer who specialises in luxury high end traditional build houses and apartments. They are looking to expand their team with the addition of an experienced Buyer to step into a Senior position for their prestigious developments within the Northampton/Bedford area.

An office based position, you will report into the Commercial Manager/Director and work closely with the procurement team on their current/recent residential developments of recent build homes.

As a Senior Buyer you will be procuring materials to meet the build programme of this project.

Some of your duties in this role are as follows:
Procuring brickwork,



carpentry and sanitary materials
Hiring plant e.g. cabins, forklifts, fencing, cranes etc.
Compiling monthly reports on budgeting control on all materials
Resolving supplier disputes
Support the estimating team with pre-tender quotations and resolve material specification issues

Experience Required
At least 5 years of procurement experience with a residential property developer
Experience with procuring materials for new build developments.
Sound knowledge of construction techniques
Comprehension of building, environmental and disability standards
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
Proven track record and have shown reliable UK employment and have residential construction experience with a recognised developer.
