The Opportunity
NEPEAN Longwall® has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisor with Longwall experience to
establish and build the Electrical Department
at our Kurri Kurri workshop.
This role will lead the development of systems, standards, and capability while overseeing the inspection, repair, overhaul, and commissioning of electrical fit outs across small and large project overhauls, providing ongoing support to internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret electrical schematics, drawings,



and scopes of work
Carry out control and power wiring of electrical equipment
Fault finding and functional testing of electrical systems and equipment
AS**** level overhaul of intrinsically safe control equipment
Ensure high quality workmanship delivered on time and within budget
Maintain calibration of electrical test equipment
Ensure all tools, equipment, and machinery are kept in safe working order
Manage document control and progress reporting
Liaise with the Projects team to set priorities and meet key deadlines
Lead, manage, and mentor electricians, trades assistants, and apprentices
Maintain and manage compliance with AS**** standards
Coordinate handovers with other departments and deliver pre-start presentations
Provide mentoring and support to apprentices
People management, performance, and team development
Communicate directly with the Operations Manager and General Manager to provide overviews, forecasts, and management of scopes of work and projects
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Relevant
NSW electrical trade qualifications
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Sound knowledge of underground and/or open-cut mining electrical equipment (highly regarded)
Alternatively,



experience in heavy industrial or process plant maintenance will be considered
Strong knowledge of
AS****, AS****, and AS****
(preferred)
AS**** overhaul experience (highly regarded but not essential)
Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and drawings
Strong organisation and time-management capabilities
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail
Flexible approach to work, with availability for additional hours as required in line with NEPEAN Longwall fatigue management guidelines
