Fixed Term Classroom Teacher - Graduate Position
About the Role
This role will provide a graduate teacher with an exciting opportunity to begin their teaching career in a supportive and collaborative school environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating engaging learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs, abilities and interests of students.
Working alongside experienced teachers and school leaders, the graduate teacher will be supported to develop their classroom practice, build positive relationships with students and families, and contribute to the wider life of the school. The role provides opportunities to apply university learning in a practical classroom setting while developing confidence, professional knowledge and effective teaching strategies.

To provide a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children;
To provide students with a rich and engaging educational experience;
Ensure the delivery of curriculum that reaches and engages students with a diverse range of educational abilities and backgrounds;
Establishing a protected, inclusive and positive classroom environment that supports student engagement and wellbeing.
Developing positive and respectful relationships with students, families, colleagues and the wider school community.
Participating in professional learning, mentoring and opportunities for ongoing development.

Key Selection Criteria
Understanding and Commitment to Catholic Identity and Mission;
Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or be eligible for registration);
Demonstrated high-level knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and the AITSL standards with best practice, evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning;
Evidence of effective strategies for fostering a safe and positive classroom environment;
Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction, and assessment.
