Woodville West Torrens Football Club

Adelaide

The Woodville West Torrens Football Club is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior League Coach to lead its SANFL Men's program and the next chapter of one of South Australia's most successful clubs.

This is an opportunity to lead an established football program with a proud history of premiership success, an outstanding record of developing AFL talent and a clear ambition to win the Club's next SANFL League Premiership.

Working closely with the CEO, Football Operations Manager and broader Football Department, the successful candidate will lead the Club's senior men's football program, developing players and coaches, driving a high-performance environment and establishing a explicit football strategy aligned from the WWTFC Centre of Excellence through to Senior Football.

WWTFC has won five SANFL League Premierships since amalgamation in **** and has established an outstanding reputation for developing players for the highest level. Since ****, 25 Eagles players have progressed onto AFL lists through the National, Rookie and Mid-Season Draft pathways.

That pathway was again evident in ****, when three Eagles players were selected in the AFL Mid-Season Draft. Despite those significant mid-season losses, the League, Reserves and Under 18 teams all finished third in their respective SANFL competitions, demonstrating the depth and quality of the football program the successful candidate will inherit.

The successful candidate will also join a Club with a strong whole-of-football culture, with WWTFC celebrating the **** SANFLW Premiership and a third consecutive SANFL Wheelchair Premiership.

We are looking for an outstanding leader, communicator and teacher of the game who can develop people, build strong relationships, set high standards and create an environment in which players and coaches can perform at their best.

Strong football analysis and IT capabilities will be essential. The successful candidate will be expected to independently code and review vision, analyse opposition, team and individual player performance, and use platforms including SportsCode, Hudl and contemporary high-performance monitoring systems. Just as importantly, they must be able to translate that analysis into clear, engaging and relevant feedback for a young playing group eager to learn and improve.

Applicants will have experience within an elite football or high-performance sporting environment, a strong understanding of contemporary game strategy and player development, and a minimum Level 2 AFL Coaching Accreditation. Elite-level playing experience is preferred.

For the right candidate, this is an opportunity to lead an established, successful football program, develop the next generation of Eagles, and pursue the ultimate objective: bringing the next SANFL League Premiership to Woodville West Torrens.
