Gymnastics Western Australia is the peak body for the sport of gymnastics in Western Australia. We provide the opportunity for anyone interested in exciting, fundamental movement, fitness and friendships to participate in gymnastic programs, competitions, development programs and activities which are accessible to all, no matter their experience, skill, age or ability level.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised
Workforce & Pathways Coordinator
to join our team at the State Gymnastics Centre in Leederville. Reporting to the Pathways Manager, this is a varied role that will contribute to the development of gymnastics across workforce development, state teams and athlete pathways.

About the Role

You'll play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering education and development opportunities for gymnastics coaches, judges, clubs and technical members across WA.

Your responsibilities will include:

Coordinating and administering National Education Framework courses

Coordinating club workshops and workforce development opportunities

Supporting the delivery of integrity education initiatives

Planning and coordinating the Gymnastics WA Education Calendar

Delivering initiatives under the Workforce Development Plan

Supporting coach and judge education and development

Coordinating development opportunities across metropolitan and regional WA

Assisting with State Teams and Tours, including planning, logistics and delivery

Supporting pathway activities including State Squad programs





Coordinating athlete wellbeing initiatives

Building strong relationships with clubs, coaches, judges, volunteers and stakeholders

Maintaining education information, calendars and FAQs across Gymnastics WA's channels

Preparing reports, statistics and information for internal and external stakeholders

Supporting events and other Gymnastics WA activities as required

About you

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and passionate about developing people and supporting the sporting community. You'll bring strong relationship-building and communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

You will ideally have:

Experience in sport, recreation, education or a related environment

An understanding of gymnastics and the gymnastics community

Proven customer service and stakeholder engagement experience

Experience working with volunteers

Solid written and verbal communication skills

Experience preparing reports and working with budgets

Excellent organisational and time-management skills

Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills

The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

A positive, inclusive and solutions-focused approach

A passion for supporting volunteers and developing people





A flexible approach to working hours - Some evening and weekend work will be required due to the nature of the role

A tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be desirable, but is not essential.

Provide adequate care and supervision of children and young people in your charge (If applicable)

Act as a positive role model for children and young people

Report any suspicions, concerns, allegations, or disclosures of alleged abuse to management

Maintain valid 'Working With Children' documentation

Undergo periodic 'national criminal history record' checks

Report to management any criminal charges or convictions you receive during the course of your employment / volunteering that may indicate a possible risk to children and young people.
