Following a team restructure, Veolia is seeking a Process Engineer to join its Ballarat operations, reporting directly to the Operations Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants genuine ownership of their work.
You will work across a broad range of operational and capital improvement projects, taking them from investigation and planning through to implementation and review.
You will analyse plant performance, troubleshoot process issues and look for better ways of working.
Combining hands-on technical problem solving, project delivery and professional reporting, the role will directly influence safety, compliance, efficiency and environmental outcomes.

What You'll be Responsible for
Monitor and analyse water and wastewater treatment performance
Troubleshoot process issues, complete root cause investigations and recommend practical solutions
Identify, lead and deliver continuous improvement, asset upgrade and operational projects
Manage projects from scoping and planning through to implementation and handover
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual contract reports,



technical recommendations and client correspondence
Support incident response, reporting, audits and quality management activities
Work closely with operations, clients, contractors and technical specialists
Participate in the operations on call roster
What You'll Need to be Successful
A degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
Experience with wastewater treatment processes
Project management or project delivery experience
Strong technical report writing and professional communication skills
