This role ensures all engineering activities meet technical, safety, and regulatory standards while supporting seamless project execution from concept through commissioning.
Working closely with project managers, solution engineers, site teams, and external stakeholders, the Engineering Lead oversees engineering documentation, risk identification, and compliance, and contributes to continuous improvement of engineering processes.
The role also provides technical support to operations, maintenance, and asset management teams to ensure long‐term performance and reliability of deployed systems.
Key Responsibilities
Provide the technical leadership in the engineering execution ofrenewable energy projects(solar, battery storage, etc.).
Oversee the technical issues in thedesign, delivery, and acceptancephases to ensure compliance with technical, safety, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with project managers, solution engineers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Develop and reviewengineering documentation, including technical drawings, design reports, and compliance reports.
Providetechnical supportto operations, maintenance, and asset management teams.
Review tender response document, contract document, and design documents, to identify and mitigaterisksthat could impact project timelines, budget, or performance.
Support the continuous improvement of engineering processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degreein Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
3+ yearsof experience in engineering project delivery, with1+ yearsinrenewable energy or power infrastructure of utility scale.
Strong knowledge ofrenewable energy systems, power electronics, grid integration, and energy storage solutions.
Familiarity withengineering standards and regulationsincluding those relating to BESS and Inverter system (AS/NZS series, IEC, IEEE, NEC, local grid codes, etc.).
Experience inengineering design software(AutoCAD or similar).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast‐paced setting.
Excellent leadership skills to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
Excellent communication skills to interface with both internal teams and customer for complex requirement clarification and solution development.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
EA Qualificationsor equivalent certification in relevant area.
Knowledge ofSCADA, PPC, EMSfor energy systems.
Previous experience in anEPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction)environment.
