About the role
n
We are looking for experienced Aged Care Registered Nurses to join our Aequra Team!
n
We have 4 facilities located in Sydney: Miranda, Strathfield, Summer Hill, Greystanes and Punchbowl
n
This position will report to the Care Manager.
n
2x Permanent full time positions, 38 hours per week
n
Your main duties will include:
n
n




Provide a range of key direct care activities such as nursing care procedures, restorative care, safe behavioural management in dementia care, health emergency responses, infection prevention & control.
n
Provide leadership and first line supervision to Nursing Assistants including the allocation and delegation of duties.
n
Collaborate with other health professionals and service providers in the coordination, management and delivery of care.
n
Develop, implement & evaluate Nursing Care Plans for all residents through comprehensive assessments.
n
Documentation to support resident care needs.

The successful applicant must possess:
n
n
Current AHPRA registration.
n
Completed Bachelor of Nursing or higher.
n
Minimum of 3 years Aged Care Registered Nurse experience in Australia.
n
Excellent communication skills with a patient, compassionate and caring approach to working with people.
n
Takes initiative for problem solving with a resilient yet empathetic approach towards the solution.
n
A good eye for detail and an ability to work well under pressure.
n
A team player with a vibrant, welcoming, and pleasant manner.
