About The Role
n
Make a meaningful impact where it matters most. Join the Mental Health Acute Response Team (MH-ART) at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and use your clinical expertise to support consumers experiencing acute mental distress or illness in the community.
n
Based in Moonee Ponds, you'll work across Melbourne's CBD and Inner West, providing responsive, intensive community-based care including acute assessment, brief intervention, medication support, psychosocial interventions and care coordination.
n
As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you'll bring advanced clinical skills to complex presentations, providing evidence-based assessment, formulation and intervention through a strengths-based, person-centred approach. You'll also help shape the capability of fellow clinicians, supporting the development of acute mental health skills across the team.

Key Accountabilities
n
n
Provide support and leadership in the delivery of evidence-based treatment and interventions, ensuring the provision of high-quality assertive outreach and brief interventions for adults experiencing acute mental health issues.
n
Work with a team of enthusiastic multidiscipline professionals providing assertive outreach and high-quality care to people in challenging period of their life.
n
Facilitate high standard acute mental health services, and contribute to training for clinicians developing their acute mental health skills.
n

About You
n
You are an experienced mental health clinician with at least five years' post-registration experience, bringing strong clinical expertise and leadership to support people experiencing complex mental health challenges and contribute to the development of others.
n
You Will Bring
n
n
Current registration as an Occupational Therapist or Psychologist, or eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
n
At least five years' post-registration experience in mental health, with extensive experience assessing and treating people experiencing acute mental ill health or distress.
n
Strong clinical leadership, communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
n
A sound understanding of the Mental Health Act and relevant legislation.
n
