Job Description
Gliderol Garage Doors is seeking a motivated and hands-on Leading Hand to join our Pinkenba Production team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll play a key role in leading a small team, coordinating daily production activities, and ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the front, mentoring others, and taking ownership in a fast-paced production environment.

What You Will Do

Lead, support, and motivate a small production team.
n
Coordinate daily production activities and allocate workloads.
n
Read and interpret engineering drawings and measurements.
n
Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout production.
n
Train, coach, and develop team members on the factory floor.
n
Act as the first point of escalation for operational issues.
n
Work closely with internal teams to ensure production targets are met.
n
Champion a strong safety culture and positive team environment.
n

What We Require
n
n
Experience within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
n
Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Team Leader, or Supervisor.
n
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
n
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
n




A hands-on leadership style with a strong focus on quality and safety.
n
Availability to work Monday to Thursday 6:00am to 2:30pm and Friday 6:00am to 12:00pm.

What We Prefer

Exposure to production planning and scheduling.
n
Experience with SAGE or similar ERP systems.
n
Experience using power tools, measuring equipment, and assembly tools.
