Part Time – 3 days (.6FTE)
n
Responsible to:
n The church through the Senior Pastor and Eldership.
n
Key responsibilities:
n
n
Lead youth and young adult ministry teams.
n
Lead, along with other volunteer leaders, individual discipleship of youth and young adults.
n
In conjunction with any other youth ministry workers, oversee the planning and running of the Friday night youth program.
n
In conjunction with any other youth ministry workers, oversee the planning and running of the midweek youth discipleship groups.
n
Under the supervision of the Senior Pastor and Elders, train and develop leaders in training in the youth group and young adults ministry.
n
Organise the Teens group during Sunday morning services during school terms.
n
Be part of Caves Beach gym, with a focus on building relationships with youth and young adults.
n
Support the Senior Pastor in the planning and conducting of worship services.
n
Attend pastoral team meetings, including pastoral care as available.
n




Ensure ongoing personal spiritual and leadership development agreed to by the Senior Pastor.
n

Note:
n For the appropriately gifted person, there is the possibility of additional employment and funded training through Caves Beach Gym, a ministry of Swansea Baptist Church.
n
Organisational requirements:
n
n
Work within the guidelines of the constitution of the church and Church policies and procedures.
n
Be committed to the beliefs, values and mission of Swansea District Baptist Church.
n
Meet regularly with the Senior Pastor and at least bi-monthly with a designated Elder.
n
n
Qualifications and gifts:
n
n
A passion, gifting, and experience in ministry with youth and young adults.
n
Commenced, or willing to commence, theological training as agreed with the Church Leadership.
n
Have, or can obtain a current employed WWCC, and police check
n
Completed, or willing to complete the Creating Secure Spaces training.
n
An interest or experience in fitness would be advantageous to this role.
n
n
Remuneration:
n Remuneration will be based on NSW/ACT Baptist guidelines, in line with experience.
