The Role
n
Rosebank College is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified primary teachers who would like to join our Stage 3 casual teaching pool.
n
Stage 3 will commence with its inaugural Year 5 cohort in **** and expand to include Years 5 and 6 in ****. This is an exciting opportunity to support an important new chapter in Rosebank's development as a connected Years 5–12 learning community.
n
Casual teachers will work alongside the Director of Stage 3 and the Stage 3 teaching team to provide continuity of learning and maintain a safe, engaging and inclusive environment for students.
n

The Opportunity
n
Stage 3 casual teachers may be engaged to provide:
n
n
Daily casual teaching cover
n
Planned short-term teaching cover
n
Support during periods of increased staffing need
n
Continuity of learning across the Stage 3 curriculum
n
Support for student wellbeing,
pastoral care and College activities
n
n
Casual teachers will be expected to deliver prepared learning programs or plan appropriate learning experiences when required, maintain established classroom routines and expectations, and work collaboratively with the Stage 3 team.
n
The frequency and duration of casual engagements will depend on the College's operational needs. Inclusion in the casual teaching pool does not guarantee a minimum number of days or ongoing employment.

About You
n
We are seeking primary educators who:
n
n
Create positive, respectful and inclusive learning environments

Deliver engaging and appropriately differentiated learning experiences
n
Demonstrate effective classroom management
n
Understand the learning, developmental and wellbeing needs of Stage 3 students
n
Build positive relationships with students and colleagues
n
Communicate clearly and professionally
n
Work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team
n
Support the Catholic ethos and Good Samaritan Benedictine values of the College
n
Demonstrate a strong commitment to child safety and professional conduct
n
n
Experience teaching Years 5 or 6 and knowledge of the NSW Primary Curriculum will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities
n
Casual Stage 3 teachers will be required to:
n
n
Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences for Stage 3 students
n
Follow provided programs, lesson plans and classroom procedures
n
Provide relevant feedback and information to the classroom teacher
n
Support literacy and numeracy development across curriculum areas
n
Respond appropriately to students' individual learning and wellbeing needs
n
Maintain a positive, orderly and inclusive classroom environment
n
Apply the College's student management and safeguarding practices
n
Work collaboratively with the Director of Stage 3, teachers and support staff
n
Participate in pastoral care, playground supervision and other duties as required
n
Uphold the College's Code of Conduct, child protection requirements and work health and safety obligations
n

Essential Requirements
n
Applicants must hold:
n
n
NESA-approved qualifications in primary education
n
Current NESA accreditation and approval to teach in NSW
n
A current Working with Children Check
n
Sound knowledge of the NSW Primary Curriculum
n
Effective classroom management and communication skills
n
A demonstrated commitment to child safeguarding
n
A willingness to support the Catholic ethos and values of Rosebank College
n
