Job Description
n
Reporting to the Chief Steward, we are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Steward to join our dynamic team.
n
The Kitchen Steward is a key role within our culinary team, working closely together to ensure our kitchens are organised and clean, ready to deliver to our guests.
n
In This Role You Will (but Not Limited To)
n
n
Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment whilst ensuring a product of high quality and presentation standards.
n
Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned.
n
Rinse dirty crockery and cutlery, stack in the dishwasher, unload and put away.
n




Wash pots by hand
n
Ensure that all F&B; outlets are provided with clean and sanitised operating equipment.
n
Use correct handling techniques to transport and store food items.
n
Wipe down benches.
n
Sweep and mop floors.
n
Assist and liaise with chef on duty as required.
n
n
Qualifications
n
About You:
n
n
Valid Food Handler's Certificate.
n
Have an enthusiastic "can-do" attitude and a positive and motivated demeanour.
n
Adaptable availability to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, overnights and public holidays as required.
n
Motivated & committed to work with our passionate team.
n
Commercial dishwashing experience (desirable).
n
Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
n
An understanding on stock management and general kitchen cleaning skills.
n
Adhere to safe work practices.
n
Strong communication skills.
n
Have a good work ethic and be a team player.
n
