Help shape a greener, healthier Darebin lead strategic open space planning and create inclusive places that strengthen community and climate resilience.

About the role:
n
The Principal Open Space Planner will Coordinate and deliver strategic open space planning initiatives that support Councils open space and recreation objectives and priorities and in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
n
You will:
n
n
Contribute to the development and review of open space strategies, planning policies and frameworks.
n
Coordinate the planning and design of new open spaces and major open space upgrades across the municipality.
n
Support the delivery of new open space projects in collaboration with the Capital Works team.
n
Assess and provide advice on open space-related planning proposals, referrals and planning scheme amendments.
n
n
About you:
n
To be successful you will have -
n
n
Demonstrated experience in open space planning, landscape architecture or a related strategic land use planning discipline.
n
Demonstrated understanding of open space planning and development principles.
n
Demonstrated stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship management skills.
n
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
n
Tertiary qualification in urban planning,



landscape architecture or related discipline.
n
