About the Role
n
We're on the hunt for a skilled Electrical Contractor to join our team full-time, on-site in Sydney City. You'll play a hands‐on role installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems across a variety of commercial projects, making sure every job meets the highest standards of compliance and safety.

Day to day, you'll:
n
n
Diagnose and repair faults, and carry out preventative maintenance
n
Read and interpret plans and specifications with precision
n
Prepare materials and tools,
and keep transparent documentation for project and compliance records
n
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other trades to keep projects moving
n
Be the face of NIE on-site — communicating with clients and site representatives to provide updates and deliver a genuinely professional service experience
n

What You'll Bring
n
n
Strong skills in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Wiring, with confidence handling commercial installations and complex systems
n
A knack for Maintenance & Repair — troubleshooting and servicing electrical infrastructure like second nature
n
Great Customer Service skills and a professional, people‐first approach
n
A relevant electrical trade qualification and license, plus up‐to‐date knowledge of Australian electrical standards and safety regulations
n
Experience on commercial or industrial projects (Health, Education, Hospitality, or Transport sectors) — a big plus
n
The ability to read technical drawings, work safely as part of a team, manage your time well, and adapt on the fly to changing site conditions
n
A current driver's license and willingness to travel between sites across Greater Sydney
