About the Chance
n
Our client, a well-established ASX-listed mining contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the restart of mining operations at a silver mine in the Cobar Basin, Central West NSW. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to play a key part in bringing a significant asset back into production.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the GM of Mining, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the mine restart project. This includes planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring all operational, safety, and commercial objectives are achieved. Along with this build a high performing team across Maintenance & Production at this open-cut mine operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the restart of surface mining operations from planning through to execution
n
Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
n
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including operations, maintenance,



and contractors
n
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
n
Identify and mitigate project risks while driving continuous improvement
n
Engage with key stakeholders including site leadership, corporate teams, and external partners
n
Deliver the project on time and within budget while maintaining high safety standards
n

About You:
n
n
Proven experience as a Project Manager within the mining sector
n
Strong background in surface mining operations (essential)
n
Demonstrated experience in mine restart, ramp-up, or brownfield project environments (highly regarded)
n
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
n
Commercial acumen with experience managing project budgets and contracts
n
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
n
