Job Description
You will take ownership of Geovert's IT environment across Australia, New Zealand and the US — driving both day to day operations and a targeted improvement roadmap that delivers real business value. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the CFO, with one direct report and meaningful exposure to senior leadership.

You will manage and continuously improve end-to-end IT infrastructure across all global offices, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and endpoint management
n
Lead Geovert's cyber security posture to an Essential 8 baseline, with ownership of incident response, access controls and staff awareness
n
Own the IT budget vendor contracts, licence rationalisation, cost reporting and service-level management
n
Identify and eliminate manual workflows, drive systems improvement and pilot practical AI tools like Microsoft Copilot across the business

About you

You are a commercially minded IT professional who thrives in a lean, fast-moving environment. You balance hands on delivery with clear, communication to non-technical stakeholders, and you bring genuine enthusiasm for building practical solutions, not just maintaining the status quo. This is not a helpdesk management role; it suits someone who wants to shape the way a growing global business uses technology.

3–7 years of experience in IT management or business technology roles within a mid-sized company
n
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, conditional access and endpoint management
n
Solid understanding of cyber security fundamentals including Essential 8 and MFA implementation
n
Demonstrated ability to manage IT budgets, vendor relationships and service-level agreements
n
Experience with SharePoint, Power Platform or Microsoft Copilot highly regarded, as is a background in construction, engineering, mining or project-based businesses
