Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Head of Release Management to lead release planning, readiness and execution across a large-scale enterprise transformation within financial services.

This is a highly visible leadership role, providing end-to-end oversight across multiple Release Trains (RTEs) and ensuring teams, technology, business operations and stakeholders are aligned and ready for major releases and migration events.

The Role

Head of Release Management
n

Lead the overall release management and readiness function across multiple Release Trains and workstreams.
n
Provide an integrated view of release planning, dependencies, risks and readiness across the programme.
n
Lead and coordinate RTEs to ensure consistent release planning, governance and execution.
n
Establish and embed enterprise release governance, reporting and readiness frameworks.
n
Oversee major release events, including planning, readiness assessments, implementation, hypercare and lessons learned.
n
Provide executive-level reporting, insights and recommendations to support key release decisions.
n
Drive alignment across Business, Technology and Transformation teams and proactively manage cross-functional dependencies.

Partner closely with senior executives and programme leadership to ensure successful release and migration outcomes.

About You
n
n
Proven experience leading release management / release readiness across large-scale technology transformation programmes within banking
n
Strong experience working across multiple Release Trains / RTEs in complex enterprise environments.
n
Strong programme integration, dependency management and enterprise planning capability.
n
Demonstrated experience managing complex releases, migrations or technology transformations.
n
Comfortable operating strategically while remaining close to delivery and execution.
n
Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
n
Highly organised, pragmatic and resilient, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, competing priorities and high-pressure delivery environments.
