They now seek an experienced Hardware Technician to join the team in Epping, Victoria.

The Role
n
This is a full time role with an annual salary set at $80,000- $85,000 plus superannuation, and will be based in Epping, Victoria.
n
The Responsibilities
n
n
Diagnosing hardware and software issues to provide effective solutions to technical problems.
n
Responding to user inquiries and resolving software and hardware-related issues promptly and efficiently.
n
Customizing and adapting existing programs to meet specific user requirements and system configurations.
n
Installing and configuring software applications and operating systems on computers and other devices.
n
Optimizing the use of applications and equipment to ensure effective and reliable performance.
n
Setting up and maintaining computer networks, including configuring routers, switches, and network peripherals.
n
Designing, developing,
and maintaining websites and web applications to support business needs.
n
Repairing and replacing peripheral equipment such as printers, scanners, and modems as needed.
n
Conducting hardware upgrades and replacements to enhance system performance and capabilities.
n
Performing preventive maintenance on computer hardware to prevent potential issues and ensure longevity.
n
Collaborating with vendors and suppliers to source appropriate hardware and software solutions.
n
Documenting hardware and software configurations, changes, and maintenance activities for accurate record-keeping.

The Requirements
n
n
Relevant qualifications in IT or related
n
At least 4 years experience as a hardware technician
n
At least 4 years of relevant professional experience gained in a corporate setting
n
At least 2 years' experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting dedicated server hardware, including enterprise-grade racks, blade servers, and high-density compute nodes
n
At least 2 years' experience in security hardening of dedicated servers.
n
At least 2 years' experience with BIOS/UEFI configuration, firmware upgrades, and hardware-level virtualization support
n
At least 2 years' experience in structured cabling (Cat6/6a, fibre optic splicing, patch panel installation) and rack-mounted hardware setup in enterprise environments
n
Have strong knowledge on operating a computer and ability to learn new software and hardware
n
Understanding of Microsoft applications
n
Good at analytic especially analysis of technical issues
n
Needs to be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.
n
Also capable of achieving targets set.
