Ownership of month-end close activities including journals, accruals and reconciliations
n
Preparation and review of monthly management accounts and financial reports
n
Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet
n
Preparing quarterly reporting packs and supporting group reporting obligations
n
Managing statutory compliance including BAS, FBT, tax and audit requirements
n
Coordinating external audits and year-end reporting processes
n
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
n
Providing financial analysis and insights to support business performance
n
Driving process improvement initiatives and strengthening internal controls
n
Supporting and mentoring a small finance team
n
Building strong relationships with operational leaders and key stakeholders across the business
n
CA or CPA qualification
n
5+ years' experience in a Senior Financial Accountant, Financial Accountant, Group Accountant or similar role
n
Strong financial reporting and month-end accounting experience
n
Experience with audit, tax and statutory compliance requirements
n
Excellent reconciliation and balance sheet management skills
n
Excel skills and exposure to ERP systems
n
Experience working within multi-entity or complex business environments
n
Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with both finance and operational stakeholders
n
Previous team leadership, mentoring or supervisory experience is desirable
n
