As AVADA Group continues to grow across Australia and Recent Zealand, we are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team based in Woolloongabba.
n
This is a pivotal role within our finance function, responsible for optimising cash flow outcomes, overseeing debtor management processes, and providing support and guidance to Accounts Receivable team members. You'll play a key role in developing best-practice processes, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering meaningful reporting and insights that support business performance.
n
This opportunity is ideal for a highly experienced Accounts Receivable professional who enjoys combining operational expertise with mentoring, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
n
In this role, you will:
n
n
Oversee the management of debtor accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding revenue
n
Drive collections performance and support the reduction of aged debt across the business
n
Manage high-volume invoicing, account reconciliations, and debtor ledger maintenance
n
Investigate and resolve customer account queries, payment disputes, and contract claims
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key internal stakeholders
n
Analyse debtor trends and provide reporting, recommendations, and performance insights
n
Support and mentor Accounts Receivable Officers to achieve individual and team objectives
n
Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiencies within the Accounts Receivable function
n
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
n
n
About You
n
You are a confident and solutions-focused finance professional with a strong background in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or Collections.
n
To be successful, you'll bring:
n
n
10+ years' experience within Accounts Receivable, Credit Management, or a similar finance function
n
Demonstrated success managing complex debtor portfolios and collections activities
n
Previous experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting finance team members
n
Strong knowledge of debt recovery processes, reconciliations, customer account management, and contract claims
n
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
n
High attention to detail with solid organisational and analytical capabilities
n
Experience working in a fast-paced and evolving business environment
n
Experience with Microsoft Business Central or a similar ERP system (highly regarded)
n
