Role Description
n
The Health and Safety Specialist APAC is a hands-on role responsible for driving safety, health, and environmental compliance across MiTek operations in Australia and New Zealand. This is a pivotal H&S; role that works closely with leadership teams and operational teams to achieve H&S; objectives, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Act as a hands-on EHS partner, providing support and guidance to all teams across APAC.
n
Ensure compliance with Australian and Recent Zealand EHS legislation.
n
Conduct site audits, inspections, risk assessments and safety observations across APAC locations
n
Partner with leaders and teams across all sites to embed safety-first culture
n
Work closely with operations team to support and coach safety behaviour
n
Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
n
Provide EHS reporting, analysis and improvement plans.




n
Support development and implementation of APAC sustainability strategy and environmental roadmap.
n
Lead waste, energy, emissions and environmental improvement initiatives.
n
Coordinate EHS and environmental training programs across the organisation
n
Maintain EHS policies, procedures, and management systems to support operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
n

Qualifications & Experience
n
n
Previous EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial or logistics environments is a must
n
Strong knowledge of AU/NZ EHS legislation.
n
Experience with sustainability and environmental improvement programs.
n
Experience implementing EHS management systems and leading audits and investigations.
n
Willingness to travel regularly across Australia and New Zealand sites.
