An established and growing Australian business is looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join its finance team in a newly created role.
n
Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll combine strong financial analysis with commercial insight to identify growth opportunities, improve profitability and support better decision-making. This is an opportunity to own your remit, work closely with senior stakeholders and make a visible commercial impact.

What you'll be doing:
n

Build commercial models across price, volume, mix, margin and scenario analysis.
n
Partner with commercial and sales teams to identify and quantify profitable growth opportunities.
n
Analyse product, customer, inventory and market profitability to support commercial decisions.
n
Drive forecasting, budgeting and reforecasting, while supporting month-end reporting.
n
Develop dashboards and insights using Excel, Power BI and AI tools to turn complex data into clear actions.

What we're looking for:
n
n
Experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A;,



Commercial Analysis or a similar finance role.
n
Solid financial modelling and advanced Excel capability.
n
Power BI experience and a genuine interest in using technology and AI.
n
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to tell the story behind the numbers.
n
Confident communicator who can partner effectively with finance, sales and operational stakeholders.
n
CA/CPA qualified or working towards - highly regarded.
n
Experience within meat/protein, agriculture, FMCG, manufacturing or an inventory-heavy environment would be highly advantageous.
n

This isn't a role where you'll simply produce reports. You'll have the opportunity to challenge the numbers, influence decisions and help shape commercial outcomes in a growing business.

You'll gain direct exposure to the CFO, work across multiple areas of the business and have genuine ownership of a newly created role.
n
$120,000-$140,000 + Super + discretionary annual bonus.
n
3 days office / 2 days WFH once established.
