We are working with an established and highly regarded property company based just outside Cambridge to find an Assistant Maintenance Coordinator to join their friendly and busy maintenance team.
This is largely an administrative role, providing essential support to the Maintenance Manager and wider maintenance team and helping to ensure that maintenance records, compliance documentation and job information are kept accurate and up to date.
The company places real importance on looking after its people, with a culture centred around teamwork and respect.
Employees are encouraged to feel valued, supported and empowered in their roles, with a genuine focus on wellbeing and work-life balance.
The position is full-time, although part time hours may also be considered for the right candidate.
The Role
Working within the maintenance department, you will provide day-to-day administrative support across a varied range of maintenance and property compliance activities.
You will help keep maintenance jobs organised and progressing, maintain accurate records and assist with the administration of essential property compliance certificates.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing day-to-day administrative support to the maintenance team
Creating, updating and monitoring maintenance job tickets
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
Supporting the administration of property compliance, including Gas Safety Certificates and EICRs
Processing compliance reports and following up on outstanding information
Liaising with contractors and suppliers regarding maintenance works

Assisting with quotations, contractor instructions and associated paperwork
Updating Property Managers and colleagues on the progress of maintenance works where required
Supporting the administration of planned and reactive maintenance
Assisting with maintenance calls and emails when required
Helping to ensure information is recorded accurately and tasks are followed through in a timely manner
Providing general administrative support to the Maintenance Manager and wider team
About You
You will be an organised and capable administrator who enjoys being part of a busy team and is comfortable managing a number of different tasks at the same time.
Previous experience within property, maintenance or a similar environment would be beneficial, particularly if you have had exposure to property compliance, although strong administrative skills and the ability to learn are equally important.
You will be:
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Confident using IT systems and maintaining accurate records
A clear and professional communicator
Comfortable speaking with contractors, colleagues and tenants
Able to prioritise your workload effectively

Proactive and happy to follow tasks through to completion
Reliable, approachable and a supportive team player
Knowledge of property compliance such as Gas Safety Certificates and EICRs would be advantageous.
Salary & Benefits
£27,000 per annum based on full-time hours, pro rata if part‐time hours are agreed.
The company offers a comprehensive benefits package with a strong emphasis on wellbeing and work‐life balance, including:
Agile working and a culture that encourages a healthy work‐life balance
Company contributory pension scheme
Optional private healthcare scheme following three months' service
30 days' annual leave for full‐time employees, including UK public holidays and office closure on Christmas Eve and Recent Year's Eve
Additional annual leave for length of service, up to five extra days
Group life cover of two times basic salary from your first day of employment
Funded eyesight tests every other year
Regular company‐funded social events and activities
Training and opportunities for professional development
Access to a Mental Health First Aider
Employee Assistance Programme
Wellbeing activities throughout the year
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys administration and organisation but would like a role with more variety than a traditional office‐based admin position.
You'll be joining a supportive and established property business where your work will play an important part in helping the maintenance team run smoothly and efficiently.
