Sante Recruitment is seeking experienced and compassionate Staff Specialists and Senior Staff Specialists in Geriatric Medicine to join the Internal Medicine team within Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for a Geriatrician to join a supportive multidisciplinary service and play an important role in delivering high-quality care to an ageing population across the Fraser Coast.

The Chance
n
You will provide specialist geriatric medical services across inpatient and outpatient settings, working closely with physicians, nursing, allied health and other medical teams.
n
The Role Provides Opportunities To Contribute To

Comprehensive assessment and management of older patients with complex medical needs
n
Inpatient geriatric medicine and consultation services
n
Multidisciplinary care planning and clinical decision-making
n
Clinical leadership and service development
n
Education and supervision of junior medical staff and physician trainees
n
Quality improvement, clinical governance and patient safety initiatives
n
Development of geriatric medicine services across the region
n
Collaborative models of care supporting older patients and their families
n

About You To Be Considered, You Will Have
n
n
Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) with specialist recognition in Geriatric Medicine, or equivalent
n
Specialist registration or eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA
n




Demonstrated experience in Geriatric Medicine and the management of complex older patients
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
A collaborative approach to multidisciplinary patient care
n
An interest in teaching, clinical leadership and service development
n
n
International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) with relevant overseas specialist qualifications are encouraged to enquire, subject to eligibility for specialist assessment and AHPRA registration.
