About the role
Join Anatomical Pathology and play an important part in delivering high-quality surgical pathology services. In this hands-on role, you'll help prepare and process histological specimens, embedding, sectioning and staining tissue while supporting clinical trials, research and specialised laboratory techniques.
Working across the Main, Cut Up and Immunocytochemistry Laboratories, you'll build broad technical experience while contributing to quality and efficient laboratory operations. You'll maintain equipment and stock, support quality assurance and accreditation activities, and share your expertise through staff training and supervision.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong technical capability, attention to detail and a collaborative approach to delivering quality pathology services.
You will:
Hold the relevant qualification for appointment at TGO-0 or TGO-1
Bring histopathology experience in tissue processing and sectioning
Apply sound knowledge of histological and specialised techniques
Work independently and within a team to meet laboratory priorities
