Here's what you'll be up to...
This is an exciting opportunity to begin your career in business administration while gaining a recognised learning experience.
You will provide administrative support within your placement department, build practical workplace skills and complete formal studies alongside your day-to-day work.
Complete a Certificate III in Business
Enter, store and maintain data, correspondence and documents accurately
Use and help maintain everyday business equipment
Organise your workload, calendar and tasks to meet agreed timeframes
Communicate positively with colleagues, Council customers and members of the community
Attend scheduled classes and complete coursework and training plan requirements
Follow Council policies, recordkeeping requirements and work health and safety procedures

Depending on your placement, you will work with a supervisor, colleagues, internal customers and the community, giving you the chance to understand how different parts of Council contribute to our City.

The must-know bits
You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied.
Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, to progress through the recruitment process.
