The role
As
Manager Finance Advisory
, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping decisions that support thriving communities across NSW.
Partnering with senior leaders across the Department, you'll provide trusted financial insight and strategic advice that helps drive outcomes in planning, housing, infrastructure and place-making.
More than delivering financial reporting, you'll help influence priorities, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to maximise the impact of public investment.
Working at the centre of complex and high-profile initiatives, you'll support leaders to navigate change, balance competing priorities and make confident, evidence-based decisions.
You'll also lead and mentor a high-performing team, foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and strengthen the financial frameworks that enable the Department to deliver for the people of NSW.
This is an opportunity to combine commercial thinking with public purpose and contribute to projects that have a lasting impact on communities across the state.

What you will bring to the role
Strong financial leadership experience with the ability to turn complex information into meaningful business insights
The confidence to build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders through credible advice
A collaborative approach that brings people together to solve problems and achieve shared outcomes
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences

What is an essential requirement:
Relevant experience and/or tertiary qualification and eligibility for membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand
